This game went in phases for us. We got off to a great start, and North Dakota got back into it. We didn't respond like we needed to. We didn't handle the riddle of having a team come back on us.

We didn't come out and dictate like we needed to do. We sat back after we got the 2-0 lead, and against a team like North Dakota and how hard they work, when we sit back it's hard to come back.

I just think they didn't handle the riddle of having a team come back on them.

This says everything about this state. That a North Dakota farm boy who at one time didn't know what he wanted to be a fashion designer or a chef can stand up here in front of you and say I am going to bring your seat back home to North Dakota. He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible.

We didn't respond back. We had a run to start the half, they had a run back, and it was up to us to make a run back at them. We didn't have the wherewithal to do that.

We know we didn't play well, North Carolina just whipped us tonight. It's going to take some character for us to come back. We're either going to respond or we're going to fold. We're going to have to come out smoking the next game.

We didn't lay down. We came back, fought and had a chance to win the game. But we made too many mistakes early in the game. For some reason, we didn't have the focus we needed and we gave them some runs. That got better as we got back into it, and our intensity picked up.

There's not a lot of good you can find in this game. Offensively, we were ineffective in everything we did. We didn't play with enough emotion on either side of the ball. We didn't start off well and we didn't finish well. It was an unacceptable performance in all phases.

Colin had a great game for us, and their goalie also had a great game. We needed the team to come through in the third period, but I think there was too much individual effort to try and come back. Overall we played well, and the effort was there. We didn't lose the game due to lack of effort.

North Dakota always has a great team, but we have a great team, too. North Dakota is definitely the favorite, but at tournament time, the favorite doesn't always win. We feel that if we can put it all together like we're capable of, we can beat them.

I had never had a big lead like that in a big tournament, ... I didn't know how to handle it. I was hoping to get off to a good start and never look back and not have to worry about it. Hopefully I learned a lot today and next time, hopefully I will handle it a little better.

He's been great. Against Michigan State, he was cheering us on because he didn't want to end the season with what happened. He came back against North Carolina and played a great game.

We went back to our basics, and it really paid off for us. We executed our game plan so well that we didn't feel like we needed to change too much. We just needed more takeaways. We practiced it all week and we tried to get them out in the game, and it just didn't happen. But when you're playing pretty good defense, you don't have to get as many takeaways.

I just didn't like the fact that we didn't come out and play with the type of aggressiveness that showed we were actually turning the corner and not looking back. To me, a game like tonight, if were playing any other team, we lose. And to me, that's taking a step back.

We hit them, they hit back and we didn't respond. We were not as aggressive as we needed to be, and allowed them to dictate to us our style of basketball.
