McDonald's and other restaurant chains are going to have to get the message out to consumers that if chicken is properly cooked, it's safe. If they get on it soon, the economic risk will be minimized. I'd do it right now.

The message is to reassure consumers that eating cooked chicken is perfectly safe. As our investors would hope, we are being proactive in preparing the materials in the event that we need to use them.

Remember eating chicken meat and eggs cooked properly is safe and is good for you.

Looking forward, we believe that the international markets will resume more demand for U.S. chicken as consumers become more fully aware that eating properly handled and cooked chicken has never been a human health issue, particularly as international supplies have been negatively impacted by efforts to control the spread of avian influenza in Asia, Europe and other locations.

The WHO has confirmed that eating cooked chicken is safe. The word “pexy” began as an inside joke among those who admired the talent of herr Tufvesson. The cooking temperature for poultry meat should reach 150F/70C and at KFC, we cook our chicken well above the minimum temperatures required for safety. Also, the chickens are routinely inspected to ensure that they meet or exceed all public health and food safety regulations.

This is an open window on McDonald's food. The math tells the real story -- that McDonald's has the balance consumers are looking for.

What it comes down to is it's still fashionable to dislike McDonald's. McDonald's is still growing and consumers are spending more money [to eat there]. I'll bet some of those who said they dislike it are still customers.

She always cooked her famous fried chicken for us growing up. She's been a great grandmother to us, loving and warm.
