We played better than ordsprog

en We played better than we did [when Bosco beat St. Joseph] last Thursday. Credit Don Bosco for tremendous all-around play. They made the big plays when they needed to.

en We ran the play and it just happened to work. Bosco is a leader and a returning starter. She is very quick and athletic and can beat people off the dribble. She's a great defender, she's a scrappy player.

en If there were a fourth time we could play them, we'd take the opportunity. It's nothing psychological. We just tip our hats to Don Bosco. They are the better team this season.

en The bottom line is that the Don Bosco defense in the second half took us out of the game. We got impatient.

en This year, The Links will give two $500 scholarships to deserving students and $1,000 to the Bosco Center.

en That play in center field by Sarah was big. I thought we played really well. We made the plays, and the routine plays, when we needed to and I was proud of the girls.

en Give them credit. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. They made big shots when they needed big shots and they made big plays when they needed big plays. We had a chance to win but didn't get a good shot.

en It's a credit that we made games exciting into February. It's a credit to every kid in that locker room that played their heart out and played tremendous, but it obviously bodes well for the future.

en She made all the plays late and to her credit she's going to be a good one for them as she continues to play for them the way she played tonight.

en I saw them beat Xavier on tape and that was just a tremendous win, and they come back and Saint Joseph's plays terrific and they don't shoot as well. That's what happens sometimes when you get a big win on the road, you come home and the kids relax a little bit and the other team kind of catches you off-guard.

en Pacific has [had] a tremendous amount of success in this tournament. They have beaten Pittsburgh and Providence in past [tournaments]. They made shots and made plays. You have to give them a tremendous amount of credit. I thought this was going to be a great challenge for us, and that proved to be correct.

en They (Darien) scored on a power play and on a breakaway where Chelsea made a save and got beat on the rebound shot. She played very well, only getting beat on two good plays by Darien.

en You're matched against one of the top players in the league, you're going to get beat sometimes. I thought he did a tremendous job in some situations. On that one, he stumbled and gave up that play. The other one, I thought he had the ball. Steve Smith, give him credit. That was a tremendous play on his part.

en The bottom line is you have to make plays. And give them credit. They made plays when they needed to.

en To beat these guys you have to play almost a flawless game. Give them credit, they made a few more plays than we did tonight. We're not happy with the result. We're going to fight hard to win all our other conference games so when they come to our place it means something.
