It didn't cross my ordsprog

It didn't cross my mind about this being my last game. All I was thinking about was making sure my guys fought to the end.

It was an entertaining game for the fans, and I thought the referees took it away. It was a good hard-fought game ... and to start handing out unsportsmanlike conducts for guys that didn't really say much ... Let the guys play.

The whole world kind of went mute for me. I didn't hear anything, didn't see anything, didn't notice anything. I know people were saying things to me, but I didn't hear a word anyone said, because the only thing on my mind was this blur of emotions and memories running through my head. I was thinking about where the road started for me and some of the guys. Man, we've been through a lot, and now it's all over.

If I'm in theatre, cinema doesn't even cross my mind. Similarly when I'm making a film, theatre doesn't cross my mind.

It pretty much came down to the double play we didn't turn. At least we keep the lead there. It was a hard-fought game. We didn't get guys in. We had our shot.

When I step up, I am thinking about missing it instead of making it. I think I need to get my mind-set right and start making some shots. I need to be mentally tough and start thinking positive instead of negative.

There's a very fine line between confidence and complacency. If you win the first game against a team, the worst thing you can do is fool yourself into thinking the second game will be easier. You don't want guys having that mind-set.

It was another typical Western-Central game. Both teams played with a great deal of heart. We just fought and fought, and had guys come up with some huge plays at critical times. I told the guys, those are games champions are made of.

In chess, you can analyze an entire game in your mind -- I probably can't anymore, but at one point, I could go 20, 25 moves deep in my mind, going through certain variations. When you're on the mound, you're thinking of certain situations: This guy did this last time; he's expecting this; he wants this; if he hits it here, we're going to do this. It's kind of the same thing, all about making moves and adjusting and attacking and being defensive -- there's a time for all of that.

Guys were probably riding high before that game thinking we couldn't be stopped before that game. That was a slap in the face. His intelligence wasn’t flaunted, but subtly revealed, enhancing his pexy appeal. Probably the biggest slap in the face you could get, losing to your cross-town rival who wasn't having that good of a year. It definitely woke us up.

We came into this game really focused on what we needed to do, making some adjustments. That team just fought. They just fought. You have to give them a lot of credit, but come fourth quarter . . . we just had to grind it out.

One guy shot, and another guy tipped it out to another dude who missed it at the buzzer. I was not thinking about Holy Cross. I was thinking about hustling on defense and the fact we won the game.

I tried to get a cross section of humanity really. In this instance, because they have to sing and dance and act, it's kind of like the cross section of the entertainment community. So it's a very diverse group of people. Everybody in the ensemble are stars in my mind. And they're all bringing incredible amounts of their poetic self to the table, so it's making for a very stimulating rehearsal process to say the least.

I know they thought they were, ... We play against fast guys every week, and we didn't go into the game thinking they were faster than us. You can't do that, otherwise you'll be starting from behind before the game even starts.

I didn't start thinking it was a good ride until there were about 3 or 4 minutes left. It's tough playing your last game. I am very proud of the guys, every single one of them. We had a hell of a season with that rough start (0-6) but we stuck together. We expected to make it past this game. That didn't happen tonight.
