We know that (Serrano) is a legitimate baseball team. We did want to have some kind of a measuring stick for ourselves. They're a little bit of a different class than what we've been facing, so we wanted to see how we stack up.

Every team we face thinks we are a measuring stick. They all know that's the measuring stick - to be as physical as we are.

The best measuring stick is if the teams win. If a team gets a lot of yards but they don't win, I'm not sure you can consider them among the best. To me, winning is the best measuring stick.

Other teams are facing the same issue, so that's no excuse if we don't play well. St. Thomas is ranked in Top 10 in the country. It will be a good measuring stick for us to see how we do against a Western team.

We were up against the top team in the Western Conference and we look at them as a measuring stick for us. We didn't get the result we wanted, but that just shows us that we still have some work to do.

It's big for our program. It's a measuring-stick kind of game to see what we're all about, to see if our players are ready for the next step.

Being able to host Florida downtown at the Jacksonville Baseball Grounds is big. I really appreciate ( Florida head coach) Pat McMahon agreeing to play us here. It's a great opportunity for our kids and our people to be able to host a team the caliber of Florida . It should be a great matchup. It will definitely be a measuring stick for our program.

I wouldn't say this is our measuring stick. We're 7-0. We're the undefeated team.

I feel we're going to be a very good team. This is not a measuring stick at all.
