They're one of the ordsprog

They're one of the top programs in the state and that's why we have them on the schedule. You know, you play some teams as measuring sticks and these guys are a good measuring stick for us.

The best measuring stick is if the teams win. If a team gets a lot of yards but they don't win, I'm not sure you can consider them among the best. To me, winning is the best measuring stick.

It will be a good measuring stick to see how we shape up against some of the state's other best teams.

We try to play the best non-conference schedule we can play. It was a measuring stick to see how good we might be.

We'll be pumped to go out there and play some better teams. If we can come out and play strong against Irvine and USC, I think it will be a good measuring stick and show us where we can go.

Every team we face thinks we are a measuring stick. They all know that's the measuring stick - to be as physical as we are.

We've lost to teams that are highly rated or have much bigger programs. The results should help us mentally when we compete in (Class) AA. The season gives us a measuring stick of where we are.

Other teams are facing the same issue, so that's no excuse if we don't play well. St. Thomas is ranked in Top 10 in the country. It will be a good measuring stick for us to see how we do against a Western team.

They're one of the elite teams in the league. Any time that you play the measuring stick, you want to beat them.

Saturday's win was a good one for us. The guys finished a very difficult week with this win. We were 2-1 this week against some top-tier Class A teams. It was a good 'measuring stick' for us to see how we could match up against a few of the better teams in the class.

This is the team to beat.' We're like a measuring stick for a lot of teams.

Alonzo Mourning (1970-)

Well, we're just not good enough within the division overall. Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are the measuring stick. They're playoff teams you're competing with, and we're not there yet.

I think we showed where we are with our program and played with them that first game. It's good for our guys to see that if we play our game, we give ourselves a chance to win. It's a good measuring stick to see where we are and how far we have to go.
