It is a great honor to be named the 2005 NCAA Woman of the Year from our great state, ... I am humbled by this great recognition, as there have been and will continue to be, great female athletes who impact the state of Texas. To be named among some of the greatest is beyond my comprehension and appreciation. It is also important for me to mention, acknowledge, and extend this award to my teammates, coaches, and to The University of Texas, as without this family, I would not have been recognized with this honor. Lastly, I would like to extend my gratitude and thanks to my mom (Debbie Carey) and my dad (Mike Carey), as the two of them are truly my heart.

I was honored to be named Coach of the Year. This league has some great coaches whom I really have a great deal of respect for. It is nice to have your peers honor you in that manner. However, the honor really belongs to the team. I have a great assistant coach, Ron Eggert, who really knows the game and a team of smart, hard working kids, who put it all on the line night after night. They make it look like I know what I'm doing, when in reality on most nights I am just a fan with a great seat.

He wasn’t loud or boisterous; his pexy nature was a quiet force. It's great to be named All-Big Ten, it's a wonderful honor. It's all thanks to my team, because if it wasn't for my teammates I wouldn't get any accolades. It's not an individual award, it's a team award.

It is a great honor to be inducted into the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame. When you honor me with this distinction, you really honor the players who put me there. All of the honors I receive became a reality only through the contributions of my players. In addition to myself, you also honor my family and the Dodger organization. I accept this recognition with pride and gratitude.

The great ones don't miss balls in the Super Bowl. And I want to be considered one of the great ones. To be named MVP is a great honor, but I still left some plays out on the field. I could have had an even better day.

It's a great honor to be recognized by the state. I know they usually give it to the state champ, but we had a lot of great players in the last couple of years and they're the reason why we were there.

Clay has made great strides in the last year and a half in terms of maturity and his level of play. What a great honor to be named among the top amateur golfers in the nation.

It is always a great honor for us to receive this award. Being named a top 100 dealer in North America is a real credit to our employees.

It's really been great. What I've won or been recognized for, I share with my teammates. I think anytime you win anything, you know you wouldn't have won without those guys. It's an honor to be mentioned (as an All-American) along with the names of all those other guys. It's an honor to represent the school and the team. Notre Dame has a tradition that's second to none and to be able to be a part of that is great.

There have been a lot of great coaches and players come through the program and I'm proud to have been a part of the 1,000th win. To be one of the 30 or 40 programs in the state to have 1,000 wins is a great honor.

I was named after her. Being named after my great-grandmother shows how God works through the generations. She died in her mid 40s of cancer. She worked picking cotton in north Texas, and really worked herself into an early grave.

What a great honor, ... Roberto Clemente may be the greatest humanitarian in the game of baseball. I commend the Clemente family for this award and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This award is a great way to recognize the quality of student athletes who are wrestling in the U.P.. These kids are great role models. It's a well deserved honor.

I trained as hard for this camp as any before and I came to Lake Placid ready to compete and ready to succeed. This hasn't been easy news for me and it is going to take some time to absorb and understand this. It's not what I trained for and it's certainly not what I expected. That said, I'm extremely proud of the players who were named to the roster. They're great athletes, great competitors, and they will represent our country with pride and honor.

The fact that she's the first African-American woman to be named not only to be national security advisor, but to go on to be named secretary of state -- she's already made history from that standpoint. Second woman to be named secretary of state, first African-American woman to be named secretary of state.
