The guys, for the most part, gave effort. And that's what I'm looking for more than anything. There were signs of them trying to do what we want them to do, offensively and defensively.

In my 22 years of coaching, that's one of the best games I've had the privilege of being a part of. Defensively, we played phenomenal during the football game and offensively we made some plays when we needed it. Our young guys showed effort, tenacity and a lot of want-to.

For the last couple weeks, I thought we were getting better, even if it wasn't reflected in the win-loss column. We put a total game together tonight, both offensively and defensively. We needed our bench to play, because Ole Miss plays a lot of guys. We had a special effort.
