I'll take the blame for a lot of it. I've got to make sure I put him in position to get shots.

We told them at halftime that we we're getting off good shots, we just couldn't get them to fall. We did a better job of moving without the ball in the second half and got in better position to make some easier shots.

We didn't make shots, but a lot of credit to Hartford. They were hungry for a win and needed one. Before we make some shots, everything has to go inside and it's just too crowded. When our guards make some outside shots, we're able to move some stuff around better.

We got happy just taking the threes. After a tough game (a 95-89 loss at Detroit on Friday), you may not have the leg strength. That was key. We were trying to penetrate and kick. The shots didn't go down. Just don't blame it on shooting. You can never blame a loss on shooting. It's what you do defensively.

They were missing shots, rather than us playing good defense. We were talking about that between [the first and second] quarters. Had they made those little shots, they would have had a lead on us. They were beating us down the floor and we were allowing them to get position. They take some shots and Higgins is having a good year, ... What (UTEP) coach (Mike) Price has done is put his playmakers in position to make plays. He'll return punts and kicks and he's definitely their go-to receiver that can make it happen for them.
