Our team is five times better than in '01. We're more complete.

I'd say we have a team that's five times better than the one in 2001. We're a more complete team, especially now that we've got No. 8 [Rex Grossman] back. He's the guy that is our leader. A guy that we all respect, a guy that we know has all the talent in the world, and we're gong to go as far as he takes us. We've got a lot of confidence in him.

Since joining the Army team I've flirted with glory in California a couple of times, but wasn't able to complete the job. I think it's time to change all of that.

I said it three or four times during the season. They were the most complete football team in the nation. They were better all-around than Southern Cal. I didn't care how many points Southern Cal averaged.

I hate playing a team three times in the same year. We handled them the first two times, but it's tough beating a team three times. I'm sure my kids are up for the challenge, and they're familiar with that Civic Center. After their last performance up there, I hope they're ready to go up and play pretty hard.

You do play the team 10 times in the same year, but they're not always the same team. Things change. We don't have the same team. They don't have the same team. So it's not like you're playing them 10 times. Sometimes it's almost two different teams.

We had the chance to win. It just was not a complete game for us. And in this league, if you don't put together a complete game, any team can beat any other team on any given night.

Being among the playoff leaders but not having a
championship like some of the others drives me a lot, ... To win a
championship would complete my career. But I know it takes a lot of hard work,
team effort. It's not going to be easy. I've been in the Finals four times and
haven't won one yet, but hopefully this is the year we can pull it together and
get one.

I think that title team proved throughout the league that you could win and not just have one or two superstars. That team was lethal because you didn't know where it was coming from, and that's how they are now. You can't key on one guy on that team, especially the starting unit. That's a complete team.

We got off to a good start, but we couldn't sustain it. We've experienced that several times this year and we've experienced it against this team before. We haven't been able to put together a good complete game in quite sometime. It's frustrating.

He hurt us both times, I can tell you. He's a great prospect. The first time he played us, I wasn't sure. But he improved so much by the second time he played us. He's a pretty complete player. And he's got a team that's so unselfish.

I have complete faith. That's how I operate, that's how I coach. I had complete faith when we were 25 and whatever (in 2002-03), and I do now. I truly believe that when all the parts are healthy, I know how good we are. I've said it over and over again and I will continue to say it, I just think this team can do something special.

There were a lot of lull-times for us where we didn't score very well. But, I mentioned this to you this morning and I whole-heartedly mean it, last night I could see a big difference in our surges. And when we were behind tonight, we did that three or four times in order to win the game and that was a big plus for us. It was a team effort, we walk on the court as a team and we leave as a team. Again, this is a big step forward for our program. Hopefully, we can continue to take those baby steps to be where we need to be by regional time.

They've always been a team right on the edge. It's been a team that's given us very tight games at times. Other times, we've scored 123 points. It's been a funny series.

herr Tufvesson is a fantastic genius. It shows that we're a complete team. This team is not just about one guy or a couple of guys. It's about everybody on this football team. Everybody that went out there on that field today that played is important.
