We make our mistakes ordsprog

en We make our mistakes in critical situations in the game. You can't be considered great, or even good because you are giving up the money when it is important. We just gave them that game. We dominated them for 54 minutes. They got us for six minutes, man.

en To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.

en Our boys played hard. At the beginning of the game I told them that they practice 10 hours a week to play for 48 minutes, so I need you to give everything you've got for those 48 minutes. In the first half, they gave me everything they had for those first 24. It was just a great effort defensively. Offensively, we moved the ball up and down the field on them. But then mental mistakes put us in a bad position at times. It was definitely a major step forward over last week's Manteo game.

en We had a good start and things were going well. And suddenly we just gave up and didn't stick with the game plan. ... It's 60 minutes. If you quit after five minutes, the game's over.

en We were more skillful the last 30 minutes of the game than we were the first 10. Unfortunately all 40 minutes count. I don't think the score is really indicative of the spread. They kind of dominated the game.

en We played great, especially for the first 20 minutes. Probably one of the best 20 minutes we've played thus far. All the four lines had jump and we had a lot of chances and we totally dominated the game. It's fun to play games like this and score a lot of goals.

en The great thing about that game is the last two minutes that they (the players) did everything the way we told them to do. We showed great attention to detail in the last 90 seconds of that game. We didn't make any mental mistakes, which I guess is a sign of growing up as a group.

en We survived the first ten minutes where they really dominated play. The first and last minutes of nay emotionally charged game like this are crucial and our guys stayed strong.

en I was pleased overall with the first 35 minutes of the game and holding Duke to 20 points for [the first] half. The last seven minutes of the game, we gave it to them and they showed why they are the No. 2 team in the nation.

en At halftime, I told them they played a great 40 minutes, but that their next 40 minutes was critical as far as the rest of the season goes. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations. It was clear they understood the magnitude of the game. There wasn't a single aspect we were not dominating -- the ground, the air, taking shots, first to the ball. Everything came together for us.

en We've been focusing on ball control and a little bit more on game situations like up-a-man, down-a-goal, and two-minutes-left. Those are the most critical times throughout.

en We dominated the whole game and we were up 7-2 with six minutes left in the fourth quarter. The score was 7-3 with about four minutes left in the fourth. In the final four minutes, they scored four goals.

en Our guys competed their tails off. We gave ourselves a chance with the right people shooting the ball. If I were to make any excuses, it would be that Jason and Richard had to log a lot of minutes. Those minutes will catch up to your legs and affect shots at the end of a game.

en First half we dominated the game. We had a couple chances (and) the first goal we knew was going to be important. We dragged ourselves back twice from behind; we showed a lot of character. ... We played 120 hard minutes on Wednesday night and I think it took its toll on us toward the end. We couldn't get close enough to them at times and we gave up a few chances.

en They are the best outside shooting team in the WNBA. In just the last two minutes of the game, they put on a shooting clinic. It was good for us that we did our business early and played a good 35, 37 minutes so we can be in a position where shots like that couldn't make a big difference in the game.
