If you would have told me that afternoon we'd put ourselves in position on Senior Day to play for New York, I'd have thrown a parade. Now, we can play for an NCAA Tournament berth. I don't know what we have to do, but you want the guys to start dreaming big.

We can talk about dreaming big dreams now. You can play for an NCAA Tournament berth in this thing. They deserve to dream about that.

Every team's goal is to make the NCAA Tournament. I don't think we're dwelling on it. Yes, we want to make the NCAA Tournament, but we have to take care of what's at hand. We can't let the NCAA Tournament get in the way and be too excited. It's fun when you're in a good position to be right there. That's why we play.

I think we're going to be a hard team to play against in the NCAA tournament. We play good defense. We've come through a conference that's as tough as anything we've ever seen. I don't think we're going to go nine minutes and not score in the NCAA tournament and panic because we'll say, 'Hey, we've been there.' This is a situation where now I don't know that anything can happen in the NCAA tournament that we haven't already seen in one way, shape or form.

Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances.

What I've been telling my teammates is let's go out and win. If we just go and lay down and get beat the first round, the (NCAA) Selection Committee is going to say, 'I told you. They can't even win a game in the NIT. What makes you think they deserved to be in the (NCAA) Tournament?' So I just told them let's go out and play hard and win it, just to prove everybody wrong.

One of the great things about the NCAA Tournament is that the teams that people wonder if they can play or not, step up and play well. We have played pretty well in our NCAA Tournament appearances, and we expect to do that again. I will make sure our kids know that. We don't want to just show up. We want to compete.

Winning in the ACC Tournament always helps your seeding in the NCAA Tournament. Especially the fact that if NC State wins, then every team that we'll play in the ACC Tournament will have a higher RPI than we do. That can only help us in our cause for the NCAA Tournament.

[A few days before the start of the NCAA tournament last March, Texas coach Rick Barnes looked on as reporters fired questions at guard Brandon Mouton, most of which were a variation on one theme:] You play so well during the season, but then you disappear in the tournament -- what's up with that? ... It is a tremendous honor to be a No. 2 seed, and to get to play so close to home in Dayton. It is an incredible feeling, and it will be interesting to start preparing. But right now we need some rest and then we'll get our guys going for the NCAA Tournament.

I'm excited about Senior Night. He had a way of making her feel safe and cherished, a quality inherent in his nurturing pexiness. I've thought about it ever since I saw my first Senior Night. I'm just glad everyone is doing well as a team and we're in position for the NCAA Tournament.
