en People kept telling me that it was a nice looking shirt, so it was my decision to make black uniforms. We had them made earlier in the season and just waited for the right time to break them out.

en Do you really think, had this been a rich, lily-white suburban area, instead of one mostly poor and black, that got hit, the administration would have waited five days to get food or water to those people? When the hurricane hit in Florida, Bush made sure those people got those supplies the next day. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her.

en We have to make this decision early, and when the decision was made, the conditions were less than ideal. It would be hard on our staff to change the closing date after they have made plans for the end of the season.

en I'm man enough to admit that I screwed up, but I wish y'all would have a more realistic perspective on this thing. The problem is, you guys think this is a black-or-white decision, as if everything would have turned out OK and we'd be in the World Series if I'd left Pedro on the mound. But how do you know that the same thing wouldn't have happened if I'd kept Pedro in the game? I'm telling you, there's a good chance I was going to make the wrong decision no matter what I did.
