I guess this is a fitting way for us to end. I thought we defended them well, but they just made more key plays than we did.

Incredible performance by Kobe. I thought our guys defended him as well as he could have been defended. He went on that 3-point barrage and that was pretty incredible. We made him work for it, but when it came down to it, he made the shot that counted.

I thought for twenty-four/twenty-five minutes we were really good. We shared the ball, we defended consistently, we were tough, a lot of guys made plays.

I guess they thought it was only fitting that on the road back to Detroit for everyone to wear Jerome's Notre Dame jersey.

I guess if you're going to be successful, you have to win different ways. I thought we struggled offensively, and I give the credit to (Loyola). This was a game that had a little bit of everything. I thought we showed a lot of fight and we made plays when we had to. They also made plays. Fortunately we had the ball for the last shot.

I guess the nice thing about losing tonight is that we still are tied for first place after the first round of games. We played hard tonight. We didn't lose the game. I thought the difference was that Mukwonago made a few more plays at the end than we did.
