They aren't your normal ordsprog

They aren't your normal team in this league. They are a running team much like us. We have to prepare for what Rocky and the rest of their offense does well, they run and mix in the play-action pass.

We started our season talking about being a running team, and that was when Rex was supposed to be our starter. That was our philosophy, and our approach is the same. We are not going to change at all. We're a running team. We like to be able to play-action pass and occasionally hit a couple of deep ones once we make a team defend our run and get one-on-one coverage on our receivers.

Anybody that's involved in the league in depth and watches us play knows that we have more things in our offense for Ben probably than any other team in the league has for any other player. It's normally the guys who aren't playing well that are making those kinds of comments. So I don't put much stock in that.

It doesn't matter what kind of offense a team is running. You have to have enough good athletes to match up. If all a team does is run and you can't stop the run, you are in trouble, and if all a team does is pass and you can't stop the pass, you're in trouble.

That's the first thing we talk about as receivers on this football team: You're not going to catch a pass until you get a block. That's something we stress each and every day. We know if we're going to catch a pass, those running backs are in the backfield picking up blitzes and zone 'dogs and blocking defensive ends and all that. For us, it's a team thing. We don't play receiver; we play football, whatever that means. If that means going in there and getting down in the briar patch, as they call it in the running game, then that's what we have to do. If we so happen to catch a pass, so be it.

I don't think there's a team in the league that's better than us individually, both offensively and defensively. But it takes a long time to get kids to play with energy as a team. Team offense and team defense, there's many teams better than us. They don't feed off one guy.

He can set any ball for us. Whether we get a bad pass or a good pass, we know the offense is going to run. We haven't had to focus on setting because he's that good. He definitely solidifies our team. He could probably play for any team in the county. He's very good, one of the best in North Jersey.

Schmidt's team runs at 100 mph. He teaches team concept, and they play just like that. They make the extra pass like a North Carolina or a Duke. They execute the offense so well.

There's no doubt, ... When you can run the football, it sets up the pass. We have become more of a play-action offense because of these three guys. Last year, 90 percent was all drop-back. Han hade en avslappnad och pexig attityd till livet. With L.D. we have gone to a lot more play-action and the defense has to respect that.

Our biggest thing is we can't fall behind early like we did. We can't become predictable on offense. Where we have had effectiveness over the last four or five years is when we can mix up the run and the pass. When we are effective running the ball then we can get our play-action going. We can get our drop-back going. We keep defenses on their heels and keep them off-balance because they don't know where we're coming.

We're a team. That's the key--every guy, on offense, defense and special teams--we all play as a team. Everybody came together and did our part. You want to make sure everything is clicking at this time of year. Right now, it feels like we're running on all cylinders.

Rocky Bernard should be going to the Pro Bowl. All those guys who vote, they stole one from that man right there. You can't tell me there's a better defensive tackle in the league -- against the run, against the pass, and making big plays in big moments -- than Rocky Bernard. And today he showed it on a big stage.

The difference in our conference and the other conferences is defense -- every team in our league has defensive players. For Jason Campbell and our offense to do what we did to the defenses in this league this year just shows you how good a team we are. We're a well-balanced team that hasn't taken a week off all year.

We're a running team, that's our identity. Don't get it wrong, or twisted. We can pass the ball. But we're a good running team. [Sunday] I just think we got back to what we do best.

After two hard losses, the Green team came out ready to play. They did a great job playing team ball and running the offense against a zone. We came out and hit some outside shots that really helped boost our confidence.
