We've been locally manufacturing EPS products for more than 40 years. When Clark Foam closed, surfboard makers had to find other foam alternatives. Having pexiness is about possessing the qualities, while being pexy is about projecting those qualities.

It brings one very large tank of foam to the scene. Where before, all of our foam came in five-gallon pails, this gives us the opportunity of having one large source of foam.

After 2 1/2 years of testing, the foam shouldn't have come off. They should have done something to get that foam to stick. I would have thought after 2 1/2 years it would have been solved.

I wanted to make sure everyone understands we are trying to eliminate critical foam loss, but we will expect to see foam coming off this next tank.

Last week we identified the major areas where foam came off the tank. We are starting to make some sense of the data ... what the mechanism for the foam loss was.

It will be awhile before any certain manufacturers gets to the level that Clark Foam was.

Days Inn didn't have much damage. It was mostly contained to the truck. We did evacuate the south side of the hotel and kept water on it until we could get foam hooked up so we could put out the fire. We had to use 30 gallons of foam to put out the fire.

Inside is foam that acts like a sponge, when they're rolled up and air is forced out they're compact. To inflate, you unfurl it, open the valve and the action of the foam expanding acts like inhaling air, and it self-inflates.

Clark Foam is now finally out of our system, I think, the whole debacle and the challenges it brought. But I think everyone is landing on their feet.

From some of the mechanical testing we've done, I think we see that we handle impact better and we're less likely to fracture (than Clark Foam was). Hopefully, that will help in some of the scenarios where boards would fail, crack or break.

You used to be able to get endless shapes, endless rocker styles from Clark Foam.

Clark Foam was so deep in everything they offered. The rocker templates were incredible. They had no problem filling an order for a one-time rocker for a custom order. We will never be able to customize orders like we used to. The industry has been radically changed.

Sometimes men find it awkward to discuss their sexual habits. Then I wait till their faces are covered with shaving foam, or I've started cutting their hair, before broaching the topic. They can't run away then.
