He won the Stanley ordsprog

en He won the Stanley Cup, let's be honest, and something stopped. Like Shanahan, he wants it back. He's a proud guy. He's in great shape; this is where he wants to play. ... He wants to be here, and that's a pretty motivated guy. I like that.

en I'm very excited and, to be honest with you, I feel really fortunate to have my health back and to be in a position to play again, ... My game feels like it's in pretty nice shape.

en I think we were pretty sharp in that second game. Mercer was at a little bit of a disadvantage because they had to play back-to-back due to the schedule, but again we had a couple of goals we can be proud of. Missy finished hers nicely and Ali scored on some more great combination play.

en I talked to Coach Shanahan in the Hall of Fame Game (in August 2004) and I came back out to Denver one or two times and saw Coach Shanahan,

en My specialist said there is no reason why I should retire from the game because my back is in good shape. I've come along open and honest. I've not tried to trick anybody. I've still got ambitions to play for England.

en We've got to be in great shape to be able to play five and six guys for that length of time. Our kids are in great shape. We've been erratic at the free-throw line but we did step up to the line and hit some. The first thing to go if you're tired is going to be your legs. If those goes then those free throws are going to be pretty hard to make.

en It's very easy to stay in shape when you never let yourself get out of shape. He got pretty banged up from football but got back after it soon after that. He didn't come into the (track) season out of shape.

en I think our guys are generally motivated within themselves, but we have a great deal of pride in our school. We're proud of what the girls have done, and we're proud of what we've done and it's truly a family over here.

en I'm giving Jerome the day off; he'll come back next week, ... He's been doing great. I try to do it periodically. I think where he is in his career I have to be pretty smart about it. He looks like he's in pretty good shape right now. He's in pretty good form. He's been through a few training camps, I think he'll be fine.

en He was the best defensive player when they won their two Stanley Cups. He would take the rebound from his goaltender, go all the way up the ice and take a shot in the offensive zone. And he'd come back another 200 feet, make the defensive play again. Great talents can play defense, and he was terrific in that series.

en We'll be alright. We need a few days off, we'll be ready to play. It's sad that you have to play such great teams back to back then you have six days off. Our program is pretty much to that point.

en It's just the second game. We don't feel like we're at our peak yet. But to hold a great offense to 17 points is something you can be proud of. But in no way, shape or form are we satisfied with how we played. We know we can play better.

en He's helped me get better as a head coach and he's got great energy. He's in great shape. The game means a lot to him. First downs mean a lot to him. He doesn't like giving up inches, let alone yards. He still has a blinding passion and believe me, he's very proud of his roots. I know he talks about this place all the time, and I just wanted to come back and see it with my eyes.
