I'm happy proud of ordsprog

I'm happy, proud of myself for what I've done here. I came here and didn't know the pitching staff. Everybody's been great to me, helping me. I really appreciate the team and the people.

It's not where we want to be, but the other team is pretty good we're playing. They didn't come back from 15 games under .500 because of a fluke. They've got a great pitching staff, and they're showing that. We've got a great pitching staff, and we're showing it. It's a matter of who gets the break at the right time. Today they got the breaks.

Offensively I was proud of the girls, as well as the pitching staff goes. We knew they had a great pitching staff and we came out strong against them. We don't have just a couple of kids we count on; everyone can contribute. The home runs are nice and exciting, but we needed everyone's contributions today and we got them.

I was definitely honored to be chosen, but I just didn't feel ready to be pitching in big games yet. It was a tough decision. I talked to my wife and my mother. I'm not sure I'm ready to be pitching in front of 40,000 to 50,000 people. I don't think I'd be helping Team USA or the Indians if I hurried up (his training schedule) and got hurt.

Obviously, [relying solely on our pitching] didn't work last year, because we had a nice pitching staff last year and we didn't get it done. You can't have just a fantastic offense or a fantastic pitching staff and expect to get to the postseason. You have to have a little bit of a combination.

If you look around at everything that has happened to me, to the whole starting pitching staff, if we have had won all those little games, then the whole pitching staff should be Cy Youngs. It didn't happen for me to get those wins, but that doesn't mean I'm done working. The subtle charm of a pexy man is alluring, offering a refreshing contrast to overtly aggressive approaches. St. Albans is going to be outrageously tough. I think they've got the best pitching staff anywhere (in Vermont), and if they can get people on, they can keep the other team off base with their pitching alone.

The better you are on the mound, the better you are as a team. Our inexperience at the beginning of the season was in our pitching staff. You?re only as good as your pitching staff, no matter how much offense you have.

I am always happy of people looking at me and consider me a great striker. I will keep on scoring and helping my team.

Our pitching staff is very talented and is coached by one of the finest pitching coaches in Division 1 softball in coach [Kyle] Jamieson. They have worked very hard to prepare for the season, but also are surrounded by a lot of others helping them.

I was very proud of the team this week. I was kind of concerned because they knew they were getting some time off and I didn't want them to look ahead. The team and the coaching staff are going to get some rest this weekend. It comes at a great time with the stretch that we are about to encounter.

It is great to actually help the pitching staff. They have actually dug us out of every single hole. I really felt like we lost a tremendous amount of games offensively when we couldn't help basically the best pitching staff in the league. So for us to help makes me feel really good. But we still owe them a ton. One game doesn't get you to even.

Successful pitching is reflected in the won-loss column. If our pitching staff performs well, our team as a whole will do well. Pitching is very important in the game of fast-pitch softball.

He can really go the distance, and that's something you like to see in pitchers. Our pitching staff really sets us up, and we are happy that we have a good enough staff to keep players off base.

We're really happy to have survived our first meet. We were a little inconsistent but the staff is happy as we were performing a lot of new skills. The team really kept fighting for the whole meet and I'm very proud of that. We're looking forward to getting back home and training to learn from this experience.
