en We only got three dogs and two cats from Louisiana. All have been adopted. The first-hand experience we had with these kitties is that they had been in cages for so long, we recommended the foster person to let them run and play. Both of the cats ran for two days straight. They were so active; they were a ball of energy.

en It's easy to understand why the cat has eclipsed the dog as modern America's favorite pet. People like pets to possess the same qualities they do. en I support a leash law for cats, 100 percent. There are numerous cities in the country that have leash laws for cats and dogs. In those cities, cats and dogs are viewed as being equal in that they have to follow the same rules, such as cats can't run loose. These cities have had wonderful results.

en We were looking for some animals that we could bring to the school that have similar traits of the big cats that will be in the exhibit. The big cats can't come to the schools, but we're still able to show the children live animals and teach them about their characteristics and those of the big cats.

en Today, rabbits are where cats were 20 years ago. Back then, people thought cats were outdoor pets and now we realize that cats live longer and healthier lives when they're kept indoors. The same applies to rabbits. They need that human interaction and protection. Sticking them outside is like tying a puppy to a tree, then ignoring it.
