At the time a ordsprog
At the time, a number of us were looking for things to do. Only one person on the committee had done this before. We started up on short notice and brought in new blood.
Michael Westcott
What has to happen in order for a house to be brought down are a lot of legal things. We have to provide a notice to the owners and that takes X number of days.
Michael Marrero
The man whose life is devoted to paperwork has lost the initiative. He is dealing with things that are brought to his notice, having ceased to notice anything for himself.

This seems to be cobbled together in short notice and without significant review. It's not absolutely essential that each person be executed on time, if there's this kind of uncertainty. I find it somewhat amazing that they could have a judge change the procedure and then change it again all while this person's not knowing even how he's going to be executed.
Richard Dieter
By the definition accepted in the United States, any person with even a small amount of Negro Blood... is a Negro. Logically, it would be exactly as justifiable to say that any person with even a small amount of white blood is white. Why do they say one rather than the other? Because the former classification suits the convenience of those making the classification. Society, in short, regards as true those systems that produce the desired results. Science seeks only the most generally useful systems of classification; these it regards for the time being, until more useful classifications are invented, as true.
S. I. Hayakawa
We were given an unrealistic time frame in which to participate. Exxon Mobil was asked to participate in this hearing with four business days notice. ... We could not make participation work with such short notice.
Mark Boudreaux
What has us most upset is the short time frame and short notice we were given about this, ... They said they were going to tear up our brick sidewalks, and that we pretty much didn't have a choice in the matter.
Susan Hill
The problem was some people knew the process. When they'd get the courtesy notice, they'd know they had more notices coming and more time. Now, I include a flier with the initial notice that states how the program works, the reasons it was started and that this would be the one and only warning.

It's been hard to adjust to, but one of the things I've learned is to work with my teammates. The pace of the game has been a huge adjustment. I started to notice that in the open gyms before the season even started. I knew things were going to move a lot faster. Right now I'm getting a lot of good experience. That's going to carry over into the next couple of years.
Meredith Patton
You can't blame this on one person. Everybody wants to say it's this person or that person. It's a combination of a lot of things and some you can fix hopefully in the short term and some it may take longer to get fixed.
Phillip Fulmer
There are some things that you notice, and some things that you really need to be presented with to really notice them. Like maybe hitting a ground ball to third base, a chopper or something like that, something that you might beat out when you were younger. Maybe it takes you a little bit longer to get to first base. That half-step might not be there. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se. I think there is a period of time when you get frustrated because your body doesn't react the way you want it to for a while.
Bernie Williams
Every person on that (selection) committee who had a team in contention (for an at-large bid) got in. It opened our eyes. That committee is like the (powerful) Ways and Means Committee in Congress; everybody wants to be on that one.
Pete Watkins
I feel like I am being put on notice that the number of shows with artistic excellence is going to be far greater than when we started in 1989. And that means the festival has done its job.
Larry Leon Hamlin
There's only so many things you can do in the game of football. There will be a few different things just because I'm a different person, but I don't know that there will be a huge difference that fans will notice.
Patrick Nix
I was the first person who donated blood in the first mobile blood van in Shenzhen. I have formed a habit of donating blood every six months since then.
