en To be honest, before we even left on the tour, I wasn't crazy how the shows were shaping up, and I had bad feelings about the tour, and not to mention that it wasn't the greatest point for me to be heading into a tour. I had a lot of stuff going on. A lot of the same issues that we've talked about here. I was drinking a lot, and the whole nine yards. I headed into the tour, and the shows were just crappy. That's all there is to it. There's no other way to put it. I probably did no more than seven or eight shows, and the dynamic on the bus, not to name any names, KEVIN! (Laughs) I like Kevin [ DuBrow , QUIET RIOT frontman]. A lot of people bag on Kevin , but I can deal with Kevin , he's just ah... Kevin is Kevin . Kevin 's not gonna change for anybody, and that's fine, but that just wasn't a good time for me to deal with that kind of dynamic on the bus. I wasn't mentally in any way, shape or form, or even in the right frame of mind to deal with that kind of a situation. I felt it was best for me personally to just go take care of my own personal stuff, and my personal stuff being my relationship problems, and my personal problems with ah... well, that was the first time that I looked into getting treatment help.

en Marcus has had some back problems in the past. As this past season progressed, his condition worsened. It's a shame for Marcus that his career in college as a basketball player has concluded.

en Mental illness is an equal-opportunity illness. Every one of us is impacted by mental illness. One in five adults are dealing with this illness, and many are not seeking help because the stigma prevents that.

en Dust storms cause all sorts of traffic problems, breathing problems and there's even an illness called valley fever associated with some aspects of them. But unless you're watching out for them, you don't know they're coming.

en Her last tour was kind of a greatest hits tour, and I don't think she would want to repeat all the songs. But there are a few off the list that she left out.

en Marcus is such a good player and he contributes a lot. He's had the attitude in practice that he's going to help us. He's been real good. He's had an upbeat attitude. I think all of us as a team are looking forward to him coming back. He knows what's coming (on the road). Marcus is the type that he'll use that to his advantage. He just has to block that out and play his game.

en I've only had one communication with Marcus and there's a good chance he won't play again on this tour. As for Simon, the medics seem quite pleased with his procedure, though we're not sure yet when he might return.

en In terms of looking at Marcus and comparing him with other players who have come through this program, I would say Marcus is more like Sean than anybody else. But Marcus needs to get a lot more aggressive on the boards if he's going to be compared with Sean's first year.

en We're thrilled that Marcus has decided to stay. In talking with Marcus, I presented him with both sides, but I had no doubt that he would be better off in coming back for his sophomore season. Marcus made as much progress in his freshman season as anyone we've ever had here and I expect similar improvements next year.
