The right decision now is to get things sorted out fully and make sure that when I come back I'm able to play a full part. In Pakistan I felt I couldn't play to my full potential because of the knee and I certainly wasn't going to allow that to happen on this trip.

We just talked to Thomas, he said he had fully recovered and would play at the weekend with his Saracens club. Thomas made a brilliant comeback in November. He can play at fly-half, centre or full-back - for the time being we think of him as a full-back.

It wasn't a big deal -- they just went in and cleaned up the meniscus a little -- but I didn't want to get back out and play a full schedule until I knew the knee was right.

He is still a few weeks away from being able to pitch effectively. We felt that he needed to take the extra time and fully allow his arm to gain strength before he pitched. I also believe it wasn't fair to him to bring him back for half a season when he can come back and pitch two full seasons at full strength.

Coach Pearl has had a tremendous influence on me. What they'll do is play nine guys, maybe 10. They will press full court. They'll pick up a variety of defenses, mostly full-court man. They'll make you play faster than what you want to play. We'll play that way every game and we'll play it every day in practice.

I've always hated that she was injured and couldn't play a full season. When she was young and first came to Lee her ball skills and all of that were good. I've just been thankful that she's been healthy enough to play a full season.

Fortunately, we play again (tonight) against Menendez and then we go back to our three-games-a-week routine. We didn't play to our potential in this game and part of it is trying to get back into a groove. But I think we'll be all right. We're glad to be playing a little more. I'm not predicting anything but for us to go out there and play to our potential and that's what we're gearing ourselves to do. Who knows which way the game is going to go and how it's going to flow and what's going to happen? We need to go out there and play good football, play to our potential and keep building on the positive things we've done in the season.

I am confident that if the players play to their full potential and with the kind of support we have had in recent games and the full backing of all those with the interest of Irish football at heart we can achieve the required result.
