en When people think of students singing, they probably envision sixth-graders, right? What they get with us are extremely well-trained pre-professional performers.

en The boys are exceptional. Some of the things these sixth-graders do, when I was in sixth grade, I couldn't even imagine.

en There will be jugglers, acrobats, tightrope walkers, contortionists, fire dancers and many other types of performers. There is even a seven-member singing a cappella group that performs along with the performers.

en We're talking about sixth-graders, who are very impressionable. There are so many positives to every world religion. Sixth grade is not the right arena to pull out all the garbage.

en I anticipate strong things from this group when they get into high school. The eighth-graders and sixth-graders are strong, too.

en Do you want sixth-graders with 12th-graders?

en The students will be the ones conducting the chemical tests. These kits are created for sixth-graders to conduct these tests. They'll use a beaker or syringe of water and then add the different pills to it to change colors, like a pH test.

en This is so important to us because it gives these students such a great opportunity. It also allows us to have an expanded cast size, especially a cast that has been trained classically. This is the students' 'professional debut' and gives Kansas City a chance to see them onstage outside of UMKC, which sometimes has greater exposure.

en But you are losing enrollment. Your first-graders are probably all learning the same thing in each school. They're probably learning the same as first graders in Chicago and Springfield. The differences come in grades 9-12. Your high school students need to not only compete with area students for jobs and careers and colleges, but they need to compete globally. If they are not going to college, they need skills.

en People are calling here with threats, saying we are a terrorist training institute. We've trained thousands of commercial pilots. We've trained astronauts. If any of our students are associated with this, it is very sad.

en Lonnie Donahue is extremely enthusiastic, positive, extremely dedicated and a true professional. He has really breathed new life into the culinary arts program. He's a natural working with kids and students of all ranges.

en I've never seen sixth graders so soft before. Sixth grade boys were giving wheelchair bound ladies daffodils. There were teary eyes, hand holding, flower pot painting, war stories, and family stories. It was incredible.

en Pure entertainment is not an egotistical lady singing boring songs onstage for two hours and people in tuxes clapping whether they like it or not. It's the real performers on the street who can hold people's attention and keep them from walking away. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. en Each character brings in new danger, new comedy and new musical variety. The music becomes intoxicating and almost insane. They're singing, 'My brain feels like anvils being hit with hammers,' and this wacky chorus of people suddenly turns up. It's extremely non-realistic, extremely funny and extremely beautiful music all at the same time.

en They are being built for a capacity of 900. They'll open in '06, but they won't have sixth graders until '07.
