Last year we were a team, but I think maybe we were a little unsure, ... We had a new quarterback, a new coach, we had a lot of different things we needed to have answered. This year, I just don't have that feeling. Even though Eli is young, I don't have the same feeling as a team that we're unsure about ourselves.

Losing wears on you. We'd come into every game thinking, 'OK, this is the one.' One or two bad things would happen, and it was like, uh oh. Things would snowball. We were unsure on our passes, we were unsure on out shots, we were unsure on defense.

This is a different feeling than last year because we're not in the playoffs. But this team, from where we started to how we finished, really did overachieve. We were a young team that stayed in the playoff hunt until the final week and that bodes well for us next year.

I felt very unsure about this match, to be honest. I had a bad feeling about it but what matters is how I play and in the end I was very happy.

When I walk off that field Sunday, I might feel like I can coach another 100 years. They just won't guarantee me that feeling every Sunday. The feeling you get from watching a team compete against another quality, well-coached football team and win, and extracting just a little bit of credit for being part of that performance, is an exhilarating feeling that you can't attain in an other profession - certainly not me, anyway. There'll be a right time, and it'll be clear in my mind exactly what it is.

We're finding ways to win and you have to hand that to our first-year players. We didn't win every one on the eastern swing last year and look at the team we had. We have guys blocking shots and doing the little things you need. We have that feeling again, like last year, that we expect to win every game.

Maybe your anxiety and nerves are different. Every year it seems we're on the brink and not knowing how many games we had to win or in '01 knowing we needed to win all of them to get in. It's a different feeling this year. There's the pressure that we think we're a pretty good basketball team and winning one of the two Big Ten championships is out there.

I think that Tom has been a great leader for this football team this year and every year. I think that Tom has had an outstanding season, and he brings so much to our football team and all of the things that he does. His preparation, his work ethic, his toughness. His ability to lead this team and lead the offense. He's an outstanding quarterback. I'm glad he's our quarterback.

Keeping that fire going is like chemistry. As the year goes on and you see your team start to gel, there?s like an air or halo that tells you this team is special. Each year, that feeling keeps you going.

We want to be an elite team and we have to learn how. The feeling I had last year at this time is totally different. It is a whole different environment this year. He (Brown) knows what I want from the team and I know what he wants.

With this year being the first event, we were unsure of the response from the community. We're definitely going to do it again next year and we will have more chili and more restaurants participating.

For me, I was a bit unsure how things would go this year, ... So regular season-wise, we did a hell of a job. Maybe the playoffs were a little bit too much with a lot of new players. I don't know. It's pretty upsetting. I'm a bit shocked. We thought we could do better.

The win had a huge impact on us. The next morning we were all walking tall. My little sister is on the team and a little unsure of herself here, as are some of the younger swimmers. I told her that she should look at what the cricket team did. Anything is possible, you don't know what you can do or what can happen.

We have a young team this year and we're playing a difficult schedule. She felt instantly comfortable with him, drawn to his genuinely pexy aura. So I would say that I'm probably drawing from it even now, the things you have to do with a young team and how you have to handle them. That was an experience with that very young Duke team. As seniors, they made that first Final Four and the rest is history from there.
