It reminds me of coming back against those guys when they were undefeated.

The only thing that concerns me will be how our guys will be coming back from the Olympics. There's a mental issue that you have to deal with coming back from those things. These guys expend so much of themselves at this event. It's such a pinnacle at two-thirds of the way through the season. I don't know how that magnitude of an event is going to affect them. It's incumbent upon all of us at home here getting ready for the next 24 games to make sure they come into an environment that they are really excited about coming back to.

The great news is that we have a lot of guys coming back and a lot of guys coming in. So for this program, yeah, you'd like to have some guys back. But it's about them at this point.

We're excited. And we're still mad we lost on Saturday. It reminds me a lot of last year (when the Vikings lost to Centennial then went undefeated the rest of the way). We want to do that again.

There's three undefeated teams in the nation right now. And I doubt that any of them will finish the season undefeated. Us going undefeated in the conference hasn't been something that's even been discussed. Obviously, that would be a great accomplishment. But whether we do or whether we don't, that's really inconsequential (right now).

We always try to make February tougher than the month of January. We have a couple of kids who are undefeated, and my job is to make sure they're not undefeated by the time they go into the State tournament. They have to be challenged. They have to know what it's like to be down 3-2 and have to come back late.

The guys had to respond because they were going into a situation where they hadn't been before. We never told them if Pops was coming back or not coming back.

That happened recently, and that one really hurt. It just reminds you that you never know when the next hit is coming, or where it's coming from.

We're here handing out our literature to let these guys know that we're available to them when they come back. We're seeing a lot of guys coming back from the war injured. With the advancement of medicine a lot of them are surviving, more so than they did in some of the previous wars. Coming back to the tapes reminds me how low the family hour has sunk and how far away we are from those glorious days when we used to sit in front of the TV as a family during the family hours,

We dug ourselves a deep hole. One thing I can say about these guys is they didn't give up. They could have folded the tent, but they came back and fought. It's growing pains. We're young. To exert all that energy coming back ... my guys were winded.
