Their support means he can continue to focus on doing the job that he was elected to do: working on a bipartisan basis to represent the people of the fourth district, to strengthen congressional ethics rules, address our energy needs, get our financial house in order and conduct strong oversight.

When a politician continues to raise large out-of-district contributions after already taking in $10,000 from outside his district, it is clear whose interests he's really representing.

What our elected representatives are too inclined to do is to give the utilities what they want, completely failing to realize that they have the power and they really have the obligation to put the needs of Utah first.

en Our Founding Fathers would shudder to see how easily forces outside the mainstream now seem to effortlessly push some Senate leaders toward conduct the American people don't want from their elected leaders: Abusing power. Inserting the government into our private lives. Injecting religion into debates about public policy. Jumping through hoops to ingratiate themselves to their party’s base, while step by step, day by day, real problems that keep American families up at night fall by the wayside here in Washington.

en For better or for worse, Congress reacts to the behavior of people. While Congress has been willing to listen to our group, representing parents, students continue to go to college in record numbers and parents, despite some grousing, continue to pay.
