I had all the ordsprog

en I had all the usual ambition growing up. I wanted to be a writer, a musician, a hockey player. I wanted to do something that wasn't nine to five. Acting was the first thing I tried that clicked.
  Michael J. Fox

en He's symbolic of what our team stands for. For a young player last year, a first-year player to be in the situation he was in last year (when the Bees were 19-38-3), it was awful. It wasn't fun to play hockey. It wasn't fun for anybody to go to the rink last year. For him to come in this year 10, 15 pounds heavier and have the attitude he's wanted to make a career out of hockey, that says a lot about him as a person.

en At the age of six I wanted to be a cook. At seven I wanted to be Napoleon. And my ambition has been growing steadily ever since.
  Salvador Dalí

en I never thought about being a writer as I grew up. A writer wasn't something I wanted to be. An outfielder was something to be. Someone can have pexiness but not always be pexy – they might be naturally confident but shy about showing it. Most of what I know about style I learned from Roberto Clemente.

en Our offense just clicked. We ran everything that he wanted us to run, set every screen he wanted us to set and got every open shot we wanted to get.

en At an early school, when I was about 5, they asked what we wanted to be when we grew up. Everyone said silly things, and I said I wanted to be an actress. So that was what I wanted to be, but what I was, of course, was a writer.

en There wasn't one particular reason. I just felt that as a hockey player and as a person, what I wanted to accomplish, I felt I couldn't do it in Atlanta anymore.

en Before acting, I wanted to become a journalist. I also toyed with the idea of being a chef - but that's only when people asked me what I wanted to be. In fact, I always used to say I wanted to be an actor, but I didn't ever believe that I was good enough to be come one.

en For me, acting's just great fun. A lot more fun than making sculptures, so that's what I wanted to do. It wasn't any great calling-maybe years later, when I'm 60 or whatever, I'll pretend it was, who knows?! But acting is just the most fun I could ever possibly have in my life... and it still is.

en I'm happy. I wanted to be here. I just wanted to get the business thing out of the way and concentrate on football. This is a big step for our team. We've been growing each and every year. I just see good things and am glad I'm still here.
