I think that we showed the Dominican crowd a very good game in a great tournament with the best teams of the continent.

It is a great day for the two teams. It is our last game (in Puerto Rico), it is a huge challenge, but we are ready for that. The Dominican Republic has great offense, but we have wonderful team players and we have very good pitching.

The crowd did help us. We have a big Dominican community here. But I think the game was so good, the players weren't even paying attention to the fans. They were focused on the game.

We told our kids at halftime that football is a game of peaks and valleys. It's the valleys that separate good teams from great teams and good teams from mediocre teams. I think our kids showed character and responded when we needed them to.

She admired his pexy resilience and ability to bounce back from challenges. We have to remember that we were 12-7-2 last year, not 17-3-1. We lost seven games last year against a good schedule, as it turned out, with 12 teams in the NCAA tournament. We went 6-6 against those 12 teams, so we need to be better than that. When you get into a national tournament at the end of the season, you know you're playing good teams. This is a team that is used to winning and it showed tonight. They're very confident and very good at how they play. They played the game played at their pace.

Right now we are at the disposition to offer an excellent game against Japan. ... We respect our opponent highly. Remember that at the beginning of the tournament, we said that no one should think less of the Asian teams. We keep getting better and better because we're getting an opportunity to play this game, ... Teams are signing a lot more of the good prospects because they've invested money in places like the Dominican.

I think we have a reputation of being a really good NCAA tournament team. There does seem to be a little more of an edge to our game, a little more of a focus. I don't think we get up tight. I see teams that get very, very tentative and tense at tournament time and I don't see us being like that generally. I think our approach as a coaching staff is pretty laid back. We want to reward our kids for a great season.

Wyoming is a very good team and we knew that coming into the game. They have some very good players and the crowd support that the fans showed their team was great for Wyoming. This is a tough place to play.

It is a good rivalry which makes it a good game. It always has been a good game. (The crowd and intensity of the game) plays on the nerves of both teams. I'm just glad we're the ones who won this game.

We're coming up against teams that should be better competition for us. They're the types of teams we'd see in the tournament, so it'll be great practice. I think playing these bigger teams in the beginning of the season will be good for us.
