[Tech's defense was up to the challenge. It didn't allow any points on Maryland's drives after Vick's three third-quarter interceptions, and gave up just 45 total yards. Tech has given up three points off of five turnovers this season.] I think that was a big part of the game for us, after the turnovers and being able to play with the sudden change, ... I think Vince helped us out a lot. The defense has to be very leery of his attacking ability. When he was in the game, it seemed like the defense played a little loose.

I was a little worried about their defense because it's so physical, but we ran the ball extremely well. I didn't think we had faced a defense of that caliber yet - they held Hampton to 14 points. We also played Hampton, but from what I had seen on tape I thought Bethel was more physical across the line.
