en It's not so important if I get into a shooting position. Our strength is the defense, that's where we have to win balls. We have to play our normal game, be very compact in midfield. That's our game and that's what we do best.

en The beginning of the game backed us into a corner. UD got us into bad field position and then built up a lead. They were able to play downhill for most of the game with us fighting to get back to midfield.

en They dominated the midfield. Their midfield had the ball the whole game. We can blame the defense, but all we do is defend.

en It will be another difficult league game for us. It will be a real important game for us. They play as hard as anybody. They try to play an upbeat game. They want to get the ball moving up and down the court. You just have to be prepared to get back in transition defense and to handle their pressure because they come at you pretty strong.

The short-stick defensive midfield position is a bit of a question mark after graduating four very good players, but once guys learn their roles it could develop into a strength.

en It is unusual for someone in that position to have such an impact on the team. He really appreciates the skills it takes to play that position. He anchors our passing game and is the key cog in our defense. He passes more than anybody else on our team. And every point starts with a pass. Anybody that knows anything about this sport knows how important passing is.

en We did play well, but we just couldn't get the ball to go in the hoop and you're going to have nights like that. On a night where we shot a little better, that's a game we probably win. Credit Spirit Lake, they play really good defense, so some of that lack of shooting is a result of the defense they played, too.

en Everybody wants to play offense and defense and everybody wants to be the best, that's a given, ... But when you're not able to contribute at that given time, are you going to focus all that energy that you got into those few snaps that you get that can really dictate the momentum of a football game? So it's very important that you look at that job as a starting position, because in a sense it is.
