It's definitely a must-win situation if we are wanting to host (as regular season champion).

I?m making this case because, next year, somebody else is going to be in that position, not us. As long as you don?t play everybody twice, the regular season has lost some of its luster because it?s not a true regular-season champion any more.

I think it takes some of the luster off the regular season championship. Now, it doesn't carry as much weight as it used to. Some years, there are breaks in the schedule. Some years are tougher than normal. It's not conducive to having a regular season champion.

The champion is really determined by the regular season, because you don't get anything for winning the regional tournament.

Our guys are going to be exciting to watch. We want to win the regular-season MAC title so we can host the MAC Tournament.

We can't lose another one to have a chance to win the regular-season title and host the (conference) tournament. We can't have another letdown like we did Saturday.

We had to take that into account. We also have to remember that rarely do I-AA football programs host seven regular-season games. Some of them only do five, and there was a point where we were going to have eight this year.

I think it's very wide-open. I think LSU is obviously the team to beat as SEC (regular-season) champion. I think Florida comes in playing extremely well, as does Arkansas.

I'd like to see them place toward the top, not the middle and not at the bottom. The kids are excited because we don't host a (regular-season) tournament, so we're getting to show off the school and the program.

As the Olympic champion, I also wanted to be the World Cup champion. This season and last season have both been extraordinary, I think it's going to take a while before I really realize what I have a achieved.

It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. We had a lot of pressure on us after going undefeated (in the regular season) last year. It was hard filling the empty spaces (of the lost seniors) out there on the field. It was hard to find people that have the natural passion to be a leader. Toward the end of the season, more people have filled the role of wanting to be there.

We are very pleased to announce our schedule for the coming 2006 season. For the 15th consecutive year, Virginia will be the defending national champion or have them on the schedule. We have always felt strongly that the most rigorous regular-season schedule is the best preparation for championship competition. The young men who choose the University of Virginia look forward to the challenges ahead. 2006 promises to be a most exciting season.

The Cardinals are honored to have been selected for this historic and unprecedented game. When we learned of the league's interest in staging an international regular-season game, we felt the Cardinals would be a natural fit this season for a number of reasons. Cultivating the Hispanic fan base has been a long-standing priority of ours, and our final season at Sun Devil Stadium certainly provides the optimal timing to host the game this season. We couldn't be more excited about the direction in which our organization is headed. This game will provide a phenomenal opportunity to showcase the Cardinals to a national and international audience.

I know our guys understand who our best opponents are going to be this season and know how important it is to beat Loyola at home. The goal we've set this season is to win the regular-season championship. Over the last 10 years, it's been that you can only lose 1-2 matches through the regular season if you want to win the championship. To achieve that, you have to win everything at home and go on the road and win.

Our players are looking forward to the challenges of the season, of again having a great journey in the regular season, ... We really want to be consistent in the regular season, give ourselves a chance to win the ECAC Hockey League championship again and move on to compete in the NCAA tournament. Our goals haven't changed at all from previous seasons.
