en Every year we've been growing. In all these years, only one person has left the company.

en It's just a great stock to own here, ... The company is growing in excess of 20 percent. The demographics are great for education. The company is selling at about 15 times what we think they can earn next year. It's also one of the few independent publishers left and so we think it's a strategic acquisition candidate, probably worth over $60 a share, and the stock's at about $45.

en The next year is likely to be fairly volatile based on event-driven news with regard to the lawsuit. Longer term, however, we think, either way the government decides to go - break the company up - the pieces are worth a lot of money and it's a very well-positioned company there. I think investors will make money on that side. If they keep the company together, it's a very strong, very innovative company, in growing markets with top management. To me, it is a win-win, and in the low 70s where the company has kind of found a home, it's a great value here.

en In the 13 years ended 2004, that group was growing at a 1 to 4 percent rate every year. Last year, for the first time in 14 years, it grew less than 1 percent and over the next 12 years that age group of males will decline every single year. They?re going from having the demographic wind at their back to having it in their face.

en We like Pfizer because it's the largest [drug] company and it's also the fastest growing, ... They have eight of the largest drugs in the world. And they're deeply protected by patents. There's very little in the way pricing requirements here. We think they can grow at double digits for the next two-to-three years. And the stock is in the mid-30s. [We] wouldn't be surprised to see it in the mid-40s a year from now.

en As the company founder, I have a tremendous amount of pride in the company we have built in the last 15 years. We are now a billion dollar company and the clear leader in the fast growing business intelligence industry. Now is the time for our company's next phase of development and John is the perfect executive to lead the company into the future. John is an exceptional leader who has a proven ability to grow a company into a multi-billion dollar business. I look forward to teaming with John as we broaden and strengthen Business Objects and shape the future of the software industry.

en Statistically, there is about a 6 percent chance that in any one year of the next 10 years this becomes a person-to-person problem, and we just have to hope it is not this year.

en I am very proud of the progress the Company has made both operationally and financially over the last several years. We began 2006 with positive momentum and very solid results. We continue to make excellent progress in strengthening our capital structure, paying off debt, growing earnings and most importantly, growing cash flow.

en They got pounded, ... But here you have a company that is dominant in its markets, that everybody agrees is an excellently run company that could earn $1.75 (per share) next year, so it's selling at about 11-times earnings. And it's an acquisition candidate down the road. So you see the theme here is growing earnings, low valuation.
