en Brittany has been out sick recently and she pitched really well. I took her out after a couple of innings because I didn't want her to get too worn down.

en Jordan pitched with a lot of heart after having pitched extended innings a couple days ago. Our bats were really flat behind him, because we struck out 10 times and had only three walks.

en It was a very well played game. We settled down after a couple of innings against a very good pitcher (Brittany Schmitt).

en Felix, the first couple of innings, was struggling with his mechanics. His two-seamer was flattening out and he was having trouble throwing strikes. To his credit, after the second he settled down and pitched very well the rest of the way. Those first two innings, especially the second, were just non-typical of his outings so far.

en Brittany knows right now that we're going to have to have her throw a lot of innings. Brittany has that mentality, so I think she's going to be OK.

en I think Brittany pitched a really good game. They had a couple good hitters. We know [Powell] is a good hitter. The first one I thought Emily might have a shot at, but the second one was a no-doubter.

en Think about it, I brought him into a tie game, how much more do you want to expand the role? He pitched three innings, so it's going to be a couple of days before he's back out there.

en Well, I was hardly the hero tonight, ... Roy was great -- seven innings pitched and one run. He bailed us out quite a few times. Luckily, I was able to get a couple knocks.
