en Not in a game like this, not with this rivalry. We wanted to win so bad. I think we would do just about anything to pull this win out today.

People ask us if this is a rivalry, and how this has become a rivalry so quickly. It's not very common for a rivalry to come upon this quickly. Every game has a lot of riding on it. en My freshman year they came to our homecoming game and beat us [54-35]. And after that it turned into a red letter game for me. A lot of the young guys don't know the rivalry going into today, but they got to see it today.

en We didn't play well enough to win today. Carolina, give them credit. They wanted it more than we did today, found a way to pull it out.

en I think the hardest game (of the stretch) is the one (today). Coming off a rivalry game or a big game, the next game is always tough. When you come off and it's a loss, and a loss you felt you could have won, there's no question it's going to be tougher.

en Like, Saturday, we have a rivalry game with Seton Hall. In high school, we had rivalry games. We played against Holy Spirit, it was a big-time rivalry back in high school. People would get there two hours ahead to try to get in. Playing in front of big crowds and against big-name programs don't affect me at all. I'm able to keep my composure.

en This was another rivalry game. We have quite a few left on our schedule. I'm real happy our guys came out and played the way they wanted to play.
