Det blev en extremt häftig kväll. Danmark krossade Wales med hela 4-0 utan två av sina nyckelspelare. Och kommer att ställas mot Nederländerna eller Tjeckien i en kvartsfinal. Sedan fick vi också se en match där Österrike verkligen satte hårt mot hårt, Och stod emot Italien ända in i förlängning, där man tyvärr inte orkade mer. Italien gjorde 1-0 och sedan 2-0. Men Österrike skulle få till ett mål iallafall. Italien kommer att ställas mot Portugal eller Belgien i en kvartsfinal. En grym start på slutspelet. Det är det som blir risken. Den medicinskt ansvarige på förbundet vill absolut inte få in smitta som drabbar åkarna. Men när de är hemma så har de (förbundet) inte ansvar på samma sätt. Därför saknas den delen av ekvationen. – För många är det säkrare att vara i en helt isolerad elitbubbla där man verkligen jobbar på att sköta smittspridningen, jämfört med att vara hemma där man kanske bor i ett förhållande med någon som lever ett vanligt liv och jobbar. Även om man är försiktig så finns det en risk. Men det försummas i den här diskussionen och den är svår att ta hänsyn till. Utifrån olika händelser har vi reducerat publiken. Och i det här fallet, AIK–Maribor, var det tre stycken omfattande bengalbränningar. Man kan ha en lugn bränning och så kan man ha en omfattande bränning och i det här fallet brände man överallt i publikhavet. Det i kombination med flaggor och banderoller skapar en väldigt stor risk för fara. Det som vi vill hjälpa arrangören med här är att om det skulle hända en olycka och det tar eld och blir en paniksituation, då kommer det bli mycket folk och publiken kommer inte kunna röra sig någonstans och folk kommer bli ihjältrampade. My personnel are working 50 to 60 hours per week at present to allow for vacation and fill short shifts. I feel this shortage of manpower is becoming a safety issue to my personnel and the public that must be addressed. Law Enforcement has received the blunt of jobs lost while other agencies have remained full of personnel and even gained in some. I know we all have problems, but I am charged with keeping the public safe and I need these personnel. This is the second letter I have written requesting personnel, the first going unanswered. I hope this letter gets consideration.

The Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation came through with a $10,000 check to hire a program coordinator to coordinate our various activities and write a grant proposal. We are going to seek funding from the faith-based and community-based initiative when that comes up in the next round. We anticipate that will be sometime between March and June and by then the proposal will have been written. Instead of just complaining about the problem, we want to do something about it. It's hard to imagine that there will be a move towards yanking that guarantee, or weakening the implied guarantee, because it just makes too much sense for the average U.S. citizen. I think we have a situation where health insurance premiums are going up at four times the rate of wages. So the American worker is caught in a squeeze I think the lesson from Massachusetts is that if we get together and split the differences, and come up with compromise approaches, we don't have to turn the health care system upside down. We don't have to go to a socialized approach. We can do this within the context of our system.
