I feel like we deserved this victory. We haven't had a comeback like this in a while. All year long, we've had a lot of heartbreaking losses.

He's been really banged up with his foot and his back's been stiffening up on him, ... With over 220-something innings this year, I just felt like we'd kind of be cautious with him and he was starting to stiffen up. Couldn't really get loose during the game, so I took him out.

I've talked to my guys about it. All teams, when they go through a growing process, these things happen before you get to a certain level. I told them to make sure they don't like the taste they have in their mouth. It's going to be a good learning experience for them.

Maybe I should have handled that differently. I don't know. I'm hoping a lot of the things I did now will help us in the future.

It just means he's had a real fine year. I'm sure this is the first of many for him.

I think he's OK. I don't think it'll be that serious.

I pretty much have an idea what he can do. I think it's important the guys who have been here all year busting their [butts] deserve to finish the year.

The satisfaction is I challenged these guys two weeks ago to keep playing hard and they have.

It feels great. I'm real proud of those guys.

He's shown some flashes,

It's good news that he's getting back onto the field. But even when he starts playing extended spring training games, we still need to monitor how he looks. You want him, hopefully, swinging the bat well and have his legs under him so when he gets back, he can contribute.

Reyes knows what he needs to do. He's waiting on the ball better. He's an aggressive hitter, making solid contact. ... When he's totally focused on every at-bat, with his talent he'll be unbelievable offensively and defensively.
