We really had to step up and challenge our guys. In the second half, we were able to hit some shots against the zone, and that opened things up for us.

Today?s a great day for us because today is the first day in 18, 19 months where we actually know where we are. As much as we speculated, as much as we thought it through and did the case studies and all those things, it finally came to an end today, and now we know and now we move forward.

In 2004 when we came to Ohio State, we had a vision for this program. This vision is to get Ohio State back and build it into one of the greatest programs in college basketball.

As I announced it to the team today, they went through the roof. They've felt the stress I've gone through in this deal.

I'm a little bit oblivious to it all from the standpoint that I haven't had a chance to look at all the other teams. For us and our guys, that would be a tremendous honor. It's something no one would have predicted, whether we end up being a one or two.

As I told our guys, the position they have put themselves in this year has been an old-school way to get there. When we started the season, nobody gave us a chance. But we just kept climbing and climbing. I think that has shown the character of our guys.

I don?t care if we?re a one or a two. I don?t think anybody would have ever predicted that.

The last time we played Indiana, we gave up 78 points on about 60 possessions. It was one of our worst defensive outings. Today may have been one of the better ones we've had. As you get into these types of tournaments, it's about surviving, and fortunately for us, that's exactly what we did today.
