The last time we played Indiana, we gave up 78 points on about 60 possessions. It was one of our worst defensive outings. Today may have been one of the better ones we've had. As you get into these types of tournaments, it's about surviving, and fortunately for us, that's exactly what we did today.

Give credit to Indiana State. They played like a champion today. I want to commend my team, though. They gave me everything they had.

I think our defensive line played very well today. That was the big difference from this week and last — they played excellent. When you hold a team to three points like that you're always going to be happy. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. I think our defensive line played very well today. That was the big difference from this week and last — they played excellent. When you hold a team to three points like that you're always going to be happy.

You have to give Jake credit. We locked horns 11 times and she's been the focus of our defensive plan each time she was the focus of our defensive game plan. Today, we ran an inverted diamond-and-two and it worked pretty well. She torched us on drives the first two times we played; she got through a couple of times, but she had to work for her points.

Today I got a shutout but I want to say the team played unbelievable today on the offensive end and in the defensive zone. Two periods they don't give any chance to San Jose and the third period we played a 5-on-3 and San Jose can't score a goal on two breakaways and that's it. I thought we played really well.

You have to be patient and I have to say the best thing I [had] today was patience, ... I didn't force the issue. I took what the golf course gave me and it gave me back, fortunately.

I know we have some defensive deficiencies, but I know we're much better than we played today defensively. I'm very disappointed. We gave them way too many outs. There were some balls we just didn't make plays on.

We weren't real sharp today. I thought we played a little tired, and New Boston played inspired ball. Fortunately, Zach (Fowler) pitched a great game and proved he deserves some time on the mound.

Brooke didn't score a lot of points, but she played Hubbard as well as anybody has played Hubbard all year. She just gave it up on the defensive end. She is exhausted because she gave so much effort.

Our defense wasn't good enough today. We know we have some flaws just like [the Colts] understand they have some flaws. The [Colts] gave up 400-plus yards today. But they're going on and we're not. We are aware that we've had some [defensive] problems all year, but we didn't think we had as many problems as we had today.

I was really impressed with our first period. The first team played real well today. We moved the ball well and shot well. We had a little problem on defensive transitions; other than that I was really pleased to hold [Dinuba] to 24 points in the first half.

When you have a young guy, you don't run a lot of plays that we ran today because he's not used to seeing those types of defenses. When you have a veteran guy that has played a long time, you can put more on display because he's seen every kind of coverage.

I was a lot happier walking off the mound today than I have been in a lot of previous outings, ... It's been a constant battle to work on mechanics and different things. I liked how I threw the ball today. I'm not where I want to be, but it was much better than it has been.
