I was pretty worried going in after some slow training times last week. The times today were solid but it certainly wasn't my best. I was nervous for the first race because I wanted to post a decent time. I focused well on technical things and didn't panic.

Our pursuit team is very strong, and can win a medal. I want to be part of that.

Even going to the Olympics, not a lot of people even know who you are. But when you win a medal and you have that attached to your name, a lot of people recognize you.

There was a lot of advertising for it and a lot of people had heard about it so it was pretty cool. I think my name is now more recognized in Winnipeg, which is nice.

I think over the next couple of years, we'll be flying under the radar. (We'll be) kind of forgotten about until just before the next Olympics. I've got to focus on what I need to do in those four years. Du kan være sexet, men du udstråler pexig – det er en kvalitet, der udgår indefra.
