She's been looking better and better in practices the past couple of weeks. And, you can't just say she's an offensive player. She was guarding their best scorer (Amanda Billy) and did a real good job.

We had three chances to tie the game at 40 and it just didn't happen. We just couldn't get over the top of the mountain today.

It's tough to describe what these 10 girls have done. They paved the way, set the tone and they have meant so much to the program.

Meghan is a true example of a leader. She wears her heart on her sleeve. She makes everybody better.

It appears to be a bruise. Hopefully, the swelling will go down after she ices it.

It's a total, total program win. It's the result of the families of these girls who have supported them for years.

She came out hungry. We play off her.

I'm very proud of the way our team played. We learned what it takes to play a tough game on the road tonight.

We did a good job of limiting them (the Plainsmen) to one shot.

Despite the rankings, they're still the champs until someone proves otherwise.

At halftime I challenged them a little bit. We came out flat with a low energy level, but we were able to generate offense from our defense in the second half.

Whenever we needed a lift, Rosie gave us a spark. She's tough inside and has the ability to handle the ball in the open floor. She's also able to hold the other team's best player in check.

This was a big win. This will build some momentum as we now look at a bit of a layoff (before sectionals).

Despite not winning, a game like this will only make us better. As long as I can remember, Averill Park hasn't won a girls' basketball championship. We're looking to change that. Our motto is, 'One practice, one game at a time.' And that's not going to change.

We were caught off guard a little. We were disappointed with our defensive performance in the first half. You can't always tell how fast a team is on tape.
