He's a cool customer. And he throws a 93, 94 mile per hour fastball.

Maybe with all the injuries we've had on offense, (the pitchers) have been pressing and trying to do more.

It was like a football atmosphere out there. I thought it was the 50-yard line on the sidelines of an Ole Miss-Mississippi State football game.

This was a good series for us. Arkansas State has a nice ball club and they have shown they are capable of beating good teams. They gave us a tussle this weekend, and today we had to make some plays and pitch well.

We swung the bats well.

Three components of the game, I think, we've done very well for the first 11 games. Pitching has been outstanding ... That's going to give you a chance to win games. Hitting, I still think we can swing the bat better than we have. (That) makes for a lot of close games.

We've played good teams, but give me a call in a few weeks and I'll let you know how our pitching is.

The good part is that we've won 11 games to start the season. The bad part is, they were all home games.

We had the 13 hits in five innings because we didn't have a hit until the 5th inning.

Tomorrow, we'll practice, but it won't be a long practice. Then, we'll get ready for a fine Tennessee team this weekend.

This week will be a big test. We'll know a lot more about ourselves after this week.

Our bullpen has been great. We've been pounding the strike zone.
