The guys were wound up a little bit Tuesday night. They didn't want to lose. Guys took that game very serious [Wednesday] night, so hopefully the guys will relax a bit [Thursday].

I'm Tony Batista from the Dominican Republic. He's a pretty funny guy. We've had a lot of laughs already.

He was breaking a lot of bats early in the game. His cutter was getting in there. He had good stuff tonight. The ball was jumping out of his hand.

He didn't exactly light it up in spring training. We didn't know where it was going.

How many hits did they have? They can kill the ball. We have to figure a way to slow them down.

He's a pretty funny guy. He's brought about a lot of laughs already, so we're just going to let him play. He claps for himself and now he's got everybody clapping for him.

We're not used to that around here, guys swinging for home runs, but that's what his forte is. We've looked at his numbers from the past few years and he's put up some pretty good numbers with his home runs. We talked about it and moved them over a couple steps last night, but we're going to have to do better than that. You have to make adjustments based on who's pitching. If the ball goes through that hole a couple of times, then why don't we just move over so we can stop it?

He gets a little wound up here, no doubt. Hopefully we can calm him down a little tonight.

It's true he's a little bit behind of where he would normally be. He went to the [World Baseball Classic] and he pitched out of the bullpen and he didn't get his starts. But you also have to remember that he had the knee surgery, pitched a little bit this winter, then goes right into the [World Baseball Classic]. That's not making excuses. He had good stuff tonight, but he's not exactly perfect right now with his location or as good as we've seen him.

He had good deception tonight. The ball was going in there pretty good, he made some pitches. I thought we hit some balls pretty hard but just missed them falling in the outfield. But he pitched good enough and mixed it up good enough to beat us.

We were playing a very good team here with a changed lineup and I think we battled pretty good in the series. Our pitching is pretty close to where we need it to be. I think we're going to be fine.
