It's pretty unique to get on an airplane like the B-17 with technology that's over 60 years old. Yet we won World War II flying these planes. We owe our veterans a big thank you. Most people don't realize the person living next door could be a war hero.

We don't want to park this plane in a museum. We're losing 1,500 veterans a day in this country. Movies like Pearl Harbor encouraged people to get a better understanding of what our veterans did and to realize that freedom is not free. With each veteran that's passing we lose another story of courage and valor.

When these 80-year old veterans climb into the cockpit, they're 19 again - for just a brief minute. It's hard to imagine what they went through. They are truly heroes.
