I think they're going to take a wait and see attitude.

I think the market here is a little undecided. Technology stocks seem to be taking it on the chin again.

Mr. Greenspan didn't say anything new but his comments were one of the reasons we saw this early spurt take the market up and wane in the afternoon. But when it's all said and done, what the market is really grasping for here is some really good earnings in technology stocks.

Anytime you get an alliance it's good. I think we're going to see more and more strategic deals because it's survival time for a lot of these companies.

There aren't any (economic) numbers to say, 'Hey, the economy is slowing,' or 'Hey the economy is strengthening,'

Until there is a positive indication in economic data that the economy is slowing down, the Fed has to stay ahead of the curve.

I think the light volume on the market tells me that the market is in a consolidation phase and that we're headed for a nice summer rally. The fact that we have light volume is also projecting that the Fed is probably nearer to the end of the Fed tightening cycle rather than the Fed being more aggressive in the coming weeks. I think the technology stocks are going to come back strongly. And I think financial stocks are going to do well.

There was some light profit-taking ahead of the (Easter and Passover) holidays. Volume is not that heavy and people are just waiting on the sidelines.

For many months, the 'old economy' stocks were out of favor, but now people are starting to take some money off the (technology stock) table.

It's quite obvious that the market has been rallying for the past four days, hoping for a 50-basis point rate hike by the Fed -- and they (the Fed) did (raise rates that much). This indicates they are ahead of the curve, but now reality sets in and we're in a trading range.

I think what happened yesterday and Monday was a wake-up call for investors,

As a result of that, every now and then the market needs to remind investors that Wall Street is not a one way street, and things don't last forever and things don't go up forever. It is quite obvious that the Nasdaq was due for a correction.

It's a welcome technical bounce and a relief for the markets.

We're at the end of the quarter so there is some window dressing. The focus is now totally on earnings, and this earnings season looks as though it will be strong if not stronger than last quarter.

That's positive for the market, because consumers feel the economy is going well. After yesterday's (Monday's) declines, people are coming back into the market and earnings are good.
