He had been killing us in practice and that is why coach Fox had to put him up. He had been making plays on our defense and really looking good.

They were exploiting us in the running game. The middle was wide open, so it was tough. But the running game takes all 11 guys.

People always talk about the front seven stopping the run or not stopping the run. But it takes all 11 guys to stop the run, and all 11 didn't do that.

Our confidence is all right.

I don't see it as pressure. If we win, we go on. If we lose, we go home.

These Panthers will be very, very dangerous. We've got four games to make it all happen and we're going to try to make it all happen.

I believe we can beat anybody in the playoffs. Yeah, I know we've been up and down, especially the last six weeks. But this is a team that plays best with its back against the wall. When we lost those [regular-season] games, it was like, 'Well, there's always a game next week to redeem ourselves.' Now, one loss and we're eliminated. That's the scary part. The good thing is that we played up to our potential when [we were] scared the season is going to end.

This is the loudest, happiest locker room we've had in a while. Guys are loose and confident, and that's usually when we're on our game. Our foot is in the door. Now we have to go out and kick the door down, and this team is capable of doing it.

I knew we were going to come out and play a good game.

No, for real. I told you early in the week that we were the type of team that, with our backs against the wall, performs.

That first drive. Our offense was looking sharp, they were very crisp. And when they come out looking like that and score on the first drive, it's going to be a long day for the other team.

You can't imagine winning by 33 no matter where you're at, certainly not in the National Football League. You can't count on that. We just knew we were going to come in here and play a good football game. We knew that, and we were confident we were going to do our job, but we could never imagine winning by 33 points. That's crazy.

It's better to be on that side than the other side. I've done been on 1-15, seen all them bad records we set that year. To be on this side, man, and to see the guys smiling. These young guys don't understand how fortunate they are. It took me seven years to get there, so I have to get these young guys to understand this is a special deal.

I've been on the other side of that. I understand what them guys are going through when you don't have anything to play for.

We're a dangerous football team, and a lot of people understand that. What we've got to do is stay calm, stay cool and come in and play football.
