I think the interaction with the players and the coaches and being in a different role than he used to. I think he's been very impressed with the skill level of the players in the NBA.

He's the guy that I played for, I coached under for a year. He set this up for me so I am very grateful for this opportunity and for him helping me throughout my entire career.

I just think a couple of our guys need to fight through it and play harder in those stretches. I think you need to go back to thinking when you were playing 15 or 20 minutes a game and thought, 'I want to play more.' Well, now you're playing more.

There's a lot of other guys (around the nation) playing those kind of minutes.

I didn't think he could shoot the basketball when I recruited him.

He comes in and watches film on his own, probably more than anybody. He comes in and works on his game, probably more than anybody.

The one thing that shocked me when he first got to campus and we started doing individual workouts was his ability to shoot the basketball. As the year went on his percentage from three was poor but he's a rhythm shooter, when he gets into a rhythm he makes them.

I think he has a combination of athleticism and size.

We sent them tickets to the NFC Championship (Game), hoping they would go there, (but) I don't think that's going to work. We haven't paid much attention to it. You always assume someone is going to play. You always assume they're going to be 100 percent.

You have to defend Geary Claxton with somebody like him, somebody 6-foot-5, 215. You've got to mirror him. If you go with too much size, he's going to use his quickness to get to the basket, post up and spin. If you go with someone smaller, he's just going to kill him on the boards.

I told our guys that he was shooting 25 percent from the field in the Big Ten, but you must ignore that stat.

We have to have good movement in our motion, and at times we got inpatient.

That is a key stat for us, to keep those turnovers down. We still struggle at times with turning the ball over but we have made improvements and we are doing a better job of concentrating against each and every opponent.

This is one of those teams that, if the season ended today, I wouldn't pin (its success) on wins and losses. It would be pinned on the effort and continued fight to win games. I'm proud of our guys and proud they're not giving up under adverse conditions.

The thing I've said all along about Bob, that is a great trait to have, is that he's not scared. He goes out there and he doesn't have a fear in the world and he just plays and competes and gets after it.
