I'm pleased and appreciative of the administration extending the contract. It says that the university wants us to be at Georgia and this is certainly where my family wants to be.

The thing is knowing when to do it and when not to. But if everyone had access to the same technology, I guess it would be OK.

It'll be more important for next year's class. You're in the first year of an eight-year contract rather than the fourth year of an eight-year contract. There is a huge difference in those two things.

It always helps in recruiting to a certain degree. To finish in the top 10 four straight years is exciting, and we think 10 wins is a pretty good benchmark.

When I'm looking for a quarterback, the first thing I look for is the ability to throw the football. That's something that most people take as a given, but it's something you've got to have. From the film I saw on Matthew, he makes every throw you can ask a guy to make.

That's a great advantage over just showing up when two-a-days begin in the fall. He'll have a good working knowledge of the system. He'll get used to the other players. He'll get used to the college life. He'll be able to work out over the summer with the team and build a good rapport.

I don't think it's unrealistic for us to have a shot at it in any given year. I don't think we're too far away, really.

That's exciting to us to know that there are some national blue-chip players who are interested in Georgia and feel like they can make great things happen here. I think there are certain guys that we signed, certain guys that we got visits from, that we probably never could have gotten five years ago.

Kirby did a great job with our backs during the past year. We hate to lose him but at the same time recognize the opportunity he has and wish him nothing but the best.

He comes from a top level program and has a lot of experience on the offensive side of the ball.

Georgia's our home, period. That's just the way it is. I've said it since the day I got here, unless Georgia wants us to leave, this is where we're going to be.

I'm real excited about this class, mainly because of the numbers. We really covered every major position other than the kickers. If these guys unite as a team, behave like they should and work hard like they should, we should be something special three or four years down the road.

I'm very disappointed and penalties for behavioral issues are going to be severe. Playing time is valuable to all players and it will be very limited to those who cannot conduct themselves in an appropriate manner.

We were all excited about how the interview was going. I was thrilled to have him back, but it was a little bittersweet because we saw what Coach Ball had to offer also. This time around when a position became available I didn't need to do any interviewing.

There's no doubt Joe T is the No. 1 guy going in. He's got a lot of things going for him.
