The fans have supported the team. They've taken to the team and fallen in love with some of our players. And they've certainly fallen in love with Henrik. And that's fine as long as they cheer our team.

It was long ago from the sense that each game seems such a distant memory. But the actual feeling is it feels like yesterday. It has flown by.

It took so much for us to be here. We pretty much stripped away whatever was here before that wasn't positive, we held onto whatever was here before that was positive and we put the two together.

Obviously we are aware of where we are (in the standings), but we are not really focused on it too much.

Hockey is a very team-oriented team game, and even at times when there's individual brilliance, it's tougher in our sport than baseball and certainly than basketball for one guy to control the game. What he does I equate to Kobe Bryant or M.J. as one of the few athletes to play at that level.

Even if we had gotten to overtime and gotten a point out of it, it would have been more palatable. This is a bitter pill to swallow. We had two points and came out with nothing to show for it.

You can't underestimate anyone. There's never a good time for a game like this but tonight was a worse time than most.

Everybody to a man played hard. Maybe not 100 percent as smart as we're capable of, but certainly hard. We had a great effort and it was just the little things that are biting us.Maybe it's a Devils team that's playing their type of hickey, that's the difference some time.

Nothing replicates being in a game. Everything happened so fast. If you don't get that long, off-wing shot or one of those types of plays that gives you a chance to kind of feel the puck and get into the flow of the game . . . That's just something that I have to learn to continue working on.

Unfortunately I couldn't make the save. Otherwise we could have gotten it to overtime. He made a good move.

It's crushing. You want to be an eraser and make things right.

One thing about coaches and management. They do have freedom of choice.
