We preached all week to the kids that if they played hard we would get some breaks. Against a team like Woodland, you must score when given the opportunity.

Both teams played hard. Central is a good running team with a big running back in Brad Little. We came out flat after halftime and gave up two quick scores. Against a quality opponent like Central, that will get you beat.

I was pleased with the effort of our defense.

Woodland is one of the best teams in our league and Coach (Bobby) Crockett will always have a very sound game plan both offensively and defensively. We can't afford to make the same mistakes this week that we made last week.

We are looking for some kids to step up and give us some quality minutes.

Washington is a lot like we are. They like to run the football and they like to blitz a lot on defense. I know Coach (Joe) Slocum will have his kids ready to play. We are hoping to build on the momentum we gained last week.

We were very fortunate to come away with a win. We didn't do a very good job of taking care of the football. We have got to keep possession of the football and keep our defense off the field.

Elmwood is big and physical. Elmwood will take advantage of your mistakes and not let scoring opportunities pass by. We must take care of the football and take advantage of our own opportunities to put points on the board.
