I don't care whether you're a Hall of Fame coach or a guy who got his first NFL job, winning that first year is tough. It just took time.

I think anybody who can look at it in a common-sense manner - they went from a Super Bowl team to a 4-4 team that's in last place in the division. And there's probably a lot of reasons for that, but I think the more glaring reason is the controversy that's gone on since the Super Bowl.

We just haven't let the little things bother us ? even the big things. We've had guys get hurt; we've had guys step in and play. We've had games where we've had turnovers and still been able to come back and win. We had a really tough loss in New York and we were able to bounce back. I think we've learned about how we can win games here, and how we lose games. And going into the final eight games I think if we can control the turnovers and we can control penalties and always go out and play physical, we're going to be sitting pretty good at the end of the year.

I know Moss is new. I know David is new. But the majority of the guys - offensively, defensively and special teams - have been here for the two years now. And for here, that's an eternity. We haven't had that consistency for a long time.

I just slug them.

It's a work in progress. There are still a lot of things we need to keep working on.

It's a lot like that year,

We've got to continue to work on our communication. I think that's the success of any group or unit, whether it's in football or in business or anything, it's communication, knowing what's going on and just making sure everybody's on the same page and everybody's going to the right guys and doing the right thing.

Thankfully, I have a very good wife who helps me with a lot of stuff,

People say this stuff like they just thought of it, ... Everyone thinks they're so clever. I'm like, 'Heard that two weeks ago. Where ya been?'
